Vinexpo Explores How Industry Can Adapt Amid Pandemic

Trade show Vinexpo New York will host a free online seminar for the wine and spirits industry, which will look at how companies are adapting their businesses during the covid-19 crisis.

The free web conference, titled The Evolving Landscape of the Wine and Spirits Industry, will be held on Tuesday 5 May from 11am-12pm EST.

The online seminar will look at the challenges faced by the industry in the wake of the coronavirus crisis, and how companies have shifted their strategies and modified their businesses. Industry members across the US’s three-tier system will discuss how they have adapted their businesses and what they expect from the coming weeks.

Speakers will include Michael Baum, CEO and proprietor of Burgundy winery Château de Pommard; Tom Dean, certified sommelier, and wine consultant Margie Lehrman, CEO of trade group American Craft Spirits Association; and Scott Zoccolillo, advanced sommelier and wine director of Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The seminar will be moderated by Beckie Kier, event director at Diversified Communications, the organiser of Vinexpo New York.

Last month, Vinexpo New York held its 2020 show, which “exceeded” exhibitor expectations in the face of difficult trading conditions due to tariffs and coronavirus.
