Even Chapoutier’s bottles are a testament to the company’s inclusive values: Each label features information written in text as well as braille, a tribute to an invention that helped bring the visually challenged out of isolation.
In this discussion, Chapoutier outlines how Covid-19 will affect the French wine and restaurant industries, as well as rosé season. As rosé is a wine often enjoyed outdoors, Chapoutier foresees sharp declines in its consumption during shelter in place restrictions. However, he anticipates future stability for the supply-and-demand of wine in Provence, as French wine drinkers continue to open expensive wines at home.
