Coca-Cola is looking for the new creators of its next Signature Mixers

Coca-Cola Signature Mixers has launched the ‘Open Bar Project’, inviting mixologists from around the world to help it create the next batch of its Signature Mixers.

The range’s launch in 2019 was a global first for the brand and saw five of the world’s leading mixologists create four different flavours based on the famous original: Max Venning, 01 Smoky Notes; Adriana Chía & Pippa Guy, 02 Spicy Notes; Antonio Narañjo, 03 Herbal Notes; and Alex Lawrence, 04 Woody notes.

Due to the mixers’ success, 2020 will see these five co-creators collaborate with Coca-Cola to find the next rising stars, flavour innovators and trendsetters to produce a new batch of Signature Mixers – and put their names on it.

‘After the successful launch of Signature Mixers last year, our ambition is to continuously innovate and create new and exciting taste experiences for discerning drinkers,’ explained a Coca-Cola spokesperson. ‘The “Open Bar Project” is all about recruiting the best mixologists to craft new flavours to complement the original four Coca-Cola Signature Mixers and ultimately, shine a light on dark spirits mixology, whilst opening up this process to a new audience.’

Once the chosen recipes have been perfected, numerous pop-up bars will open in secret locations across Europe to test the new batches, introduce the drinks to the trade and consumers, and offer guests the chance to enjoy masterclasses, blind taste tests and interactive workshops.
