The limited-edition Victory Fizz batched cocktail has launched today (1 May 2020) and all profits will be donated to the NHS
Tails Cocktails and Ryan Chetiyawardana have made only 75 bottles of the cocktail which has been created to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day (8 May 2020), as well as to donate funds to NHS Charities Together.
‘Since the outbreak of COVID-19, our nurses and doctors have truly become our national heroes. We want to raise a glass of Victory to our current front line,’ explained Nick Wall, CEO of Tails Cocktails. ‘On a personal note, Tails would like to specifically support the brave NHS midwives, as my wife and I are expecting our third child, fortuitously due also on 8 May!’
Chetiyawardana was honored to be asked to collaborate: ‘This was such an important moment to mark, and we were honored Tails asked us to help celebrate our modern heroes and to help raise some funds for the NHS.’
The Victory Fizz cocktail brings together seasonal, British ingredients, including Bombay Sapphire Gin, RAF ‘tea for heroes’ English Breakfast Tea from the Rare Tea Company, lemon verbena, wild strawberry, and vermouth.
It’s suggested to serve it chilled in a flute, adding equal parts fizz and tonic, and garnishing with a ribbon of cucumber. It can also be stirred as a Martini.
