French brandy St-Rémy has launched the fifth expression of its Cask Finish Collection aged in oloroso Sherry casks.
The brandy is dark golden with amber hues. The nose is of dried and candied dark fruits, nuts, biscuits, and cocoa beans. On the palate, the liquid is sweet, creamy, showing more candied fruit notes, followed by flavors of dates, figs, and chocolate.
‘Since its successful launch in 2018, the St-Rémy Cask Finish Collection has become an important part of our range,’ said St-Rémy global brand director Hervé Buzon. ‘Every new release is highly anticipated, and demand is strong, we have to carefully manage allocations for the limited number of bottles issued. The Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish range is the expression of our master blender’s [Cécile Roudaut] creativity and expertise in selecting different types of casks each time.’
St-Rémy’s new expression has limited availability of 17,800 bottles.
