1. Blood Orange Sparkler
2 oz blood orange juice (freshly squeezed)
4 oz Dominio Del Rey Brut Sparkling wine
Into a Champagne flute, pour blood orange juice and top up with Dominio Del Rey Wine Sparkling Wine.
2. CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL
Sparkling wine cocktails are elegant and flavourful, none more so than the classic Champagne Cocktail.
1 tbsp brandy
Dominio Del Rey Sparkling Brut wine
Splash a sugar cube with a few drops of Angostura bitters, place it in the bottom of a Champagne flute.
Add 1 tbsp brandy and slowly fill with Dominio Del Rey Sparkling Brut.
3. CHAMPAGNE JULEP
¼ English cucumber, cubed
Fresh mint leaves
5 tbsp Simple Syrup
4 oz bourbon
1 cup lightly packed fresh mint sprigs
1 bottle Dominio Del Rey sparkling Brut wine, chilled
1. Fill an ice-cube tray with cold water; add cucumber cube and a fresh mint leaf to each mould. Freeze until solid.
2. rim and discard ends from lime; slice lime thinly. In a small bowl, toss lime slices with 1 tbsp Simple Syrup. To make Simple Syrup; boil 1 part water, add 2 parts sugar until fully dissolved. Remove from heat and cool completely.
Remove lime from Simple Syrup; arrange in a single layer in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, turning once, until golden brown (watch carefully; they burn quickly).
3. Remove to a wire rack; let cool completely.
Just before serving, in a 6-cup pitcher, muddle bourbon and remaining Simple Syrup with mint sprigs and caramelized lime slices. Add most of ice cubes; pour in sparkling wine. Serve at once over remaining ice cubes.
4. CLASSIC CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL
2 tbsp Courvoisier Cognac
Dominio Del Rey Sparkling Brut Wine
In a Champagne flute, add 1 sugar cube.
Cover with 2 tsp Courvoisier Cognac and a dash of bitters.
Top with chilled sparkling wine.
5. GIFT WRAP SPLASH
4 Oz Chilled Sparkling Wine.
1/2 oz Limocello
1/2 Oz Alize Red Passion Liqueur
Twist of Lemon
To a Champagne flute
Add 4 oz chilled sparkling wine and ½ oz Limoncello and ½ oz Alizé Red Passion liqueur
Garnish with a twist of lemon.
6. MAGIC SKATES
1 oz Pear Juice
1/2 oz xante pear liqier
Dominio Del Rey Sparkling Brut
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add 1 oz pear juice, ½ oz Xante pear liqueur and 3 cloves.
Shake sharply and strain into a Champagne coupe.
Top with 4 oz sparkling wine and garnish with a clove-studded pear slice.
7. Gingered Lemonade (Alcoholic version)
1/2 cup (125 mL) peeled and chopped fresh ginger
1 1/4 cups (300 mL) freshly squeezed and strained the lemon juice
Dominio Del Rey Sparkling Rose wine
2 1/2 cups (625 mL) water
1 1/2 cups (375 mL) granulated sugar
In a saucepan, bring water, sugar and ginger to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
Remove from heat, cover and let cool. Refrigerate overnight. Strain, add lemon juice and place in a large pitcher.
To serve, place 1 1/2 oz (45 mL) lemonade in a glass and top with 2 1/2 oz (75 mL) sparkling wine.
