The Scottish brewery has unveiled its latest special releases, Scrubs Lager Beer, and Rye Whiskey Cask
Scrubs Lager Beer is a 100-day-matured version of Innis & Gunn’s flagship lager. The brewer has pledged to give all after-tax profits from this beer to The Care Workers’ Charity, which provides crisis grants to current and former carers in need.
Rye Whiskey Cask is instead Innis & Gunn’s latest iteration in their Atlas Series, and was brewed for Canada Day on 1 July 2019. The beer has been aptly matured in Canadian rye whiskey barrels before bottling.
‘With both of these beers we’re raising a glass to two very important things,’ said Dougal Gunn Sharp, founder and master brewer at Innis & Gunn. ‘From Tuesday we’ll release our beer to celebrate Canada’s big day, with big bold flavours to match. On Thursday we’ll raise a glass to our incredible care workers who continue to do such important work as we navigate our way through the ongoing Covid-19 situation.
‘Unfortunately, the work that The Care Workers’ Charity does is needed now more than ever, so we’re pleased to be able to play our part in this way.’
