This year’s Coachella festival marks the 20th anniversary of the event. In honor of the historic occasion, the festival will feature some of music’s biggest names, including Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, and The 1975. Yet, the real star of the show is set to arrive in drinkable form.
Cupcake Vineyards, the festival’s official wine sponsor, is arriving with a Frozie Factory truck, which will serve refreshing frozen wine slushies. But that’s not the most exciting part. Topping the ice-cold drinks are edible foam selfies, made using “innovative beverage printing technology,” according to a Cupcake Vineyards press release.
The Frozie — or “frozen selfie” — Factory will offer two different flavors: Rosé Frozie and Sauvignon Blanc Bellini Frozie. The wine brand is also promising “no shortage of photo-worthy moments” at the truck, with an interactive, oversized wine glass nearby, just waiting to take over Instagram.
Cupcake Vineyards’ wines will also be on sale in 375-milliliter cans (roughly two or three servings). According to the brand, it’s the first time beverages in a can have been available in Coachella’s history.
“Our cans are the perfect portable, shareable, and unbreakable solution to enjoying delicious wine outdoors, so there’s no better place than Coachella to show festival-goers a new way to enjoy Cupcake wine,” Eben Gillette, vice president of marketing for Cupcake Vineyards, said.
Didn’t get your hands on a ticket for this year’s event? No need to worry. Cupcake Vineyards’ rosé and Sauvignon Blanc canned wines are also available nationwide, with a suggested retail price of $5.99 each.
